I received this book as a gift for my 3 year old. She is just learning her alphabet and I love that the words used aren't the typical "easy" words. I believe in challenging my children and this book is perfect for stretching their exposure to more advanced language. It's very colorful and my daughter loves how each page is its own unique look. This is surely a book we will read many many times!
This is a wonderful, educational and informative book for all ages to read. I highly recommend it for young children and parents and grandparents.
This was cute and very educational. Kids will love this and have fun with the activities. Your child will love the illustrations as well.
This book is an illustrated alphabet book with rhymes. Some pages have information to be filled out by a parent - drawings and writing - so it works better as print book. I thought the images were a bit too crowded and Photoshop work was a little clumsy. I did like how each letter that we were learning was highlighted in the text.

Love this book! Fun to read, with creativity off of the charts, stimulating the imagination! A wonderful addition to a child's library!
A is for Aqueous is not your typical ABC book. It is educational beyond the ABCs with lots of fun water facts. It is interactive, giving young kids who are learning to read and write the opportunity to practice writing and do some fun science experiments along the way. The language is pretty sophisticated, so while kids are learning their letters, they also learn some fancy $10-dollar words that start with the letters. The characters are cute and engaging. I recently read it to my grand nephews (ages 3 and 5), and they loved it. It is a wonderful addition to our grandparent library.
I have purchased three copies of this extraordinary book and plan to purchase even more! Two were gifts for children entering kindergarten and were a huge hit with both children. Their parents tell me they've read the book to their child so many times that they practically know it by heart! I also purchased a copy for the preschool classroom for special needs children where I do volunteer work. It was introduced during "Sea Life" week but remained on the classroom bookshelf after the unit was over because the students kept asking for it. The school library also plans to order several copies so students from all classrooms can benefit from this unique teaching tool.
"A is for Aqueous" is creativity written and beautifully illustrated. The author has a special gift for capturing and holding the child's attention. I simply can't recommend this book highly enough!
